Douro wines on board: new partnership with Consensual

We have some news that tastes of the Douro and is sampled on the Tagus: Lusitana Boat has teamed up with Consensual Douro Wines and, from now on, we bring this Douro estate’s wines on board. Rosé, white wine and Port become part of the experience — for a toast, a tasting or to pair with a meal, with Lisbon gliding by all around.

Who is Consensual Douro Wines

Consensual is a wine brand from the Douro with deep roots — Est. 1740 — and a signature that says it all: “Indiscutivelmente Douro” and “tradition within modernity”. From Portugal’s most iconic region, the world’s first demarcated wine region, come wines that speak of schist, of terraces and of the river. It is that identity that now travels with us on the Tagus.

The wines you’ll find on board

Three faces of the same estate, each for its own moment:

• Consensual Rosé (Douro) — fresh and easy to love, the perfect wine for a sunny day and for the welcome toast.

To launch the partnership, we welcomed Afonso Girão, from Consensual, on board the Lusitana. Between the fresh rosé and the white Port, he was the one to guide the tasting and tell the story of each wine — with the Tagus River and the Lisbon shoreline as the backdrop. A sunset, good stories and a glass in hand: this is exactly how we like to present what’s good.

Wine tasting on board, now with the Douro

This partnership fits perfectly into one of our most requested experiences: the wine tasting on board. Now, that tasting can be done with Consensual wines — from the rosé to the Port — gliding along the Tagus at sunset.
